THE HANDGUN RANGE

Located on Chattell Road, adjacent to the rifle range, this is a brand new facility. It is a federally certified and licenced 30 metre range. The completely covered shooting position makes this an all weather range.

• Up to 10 shooters can be accomodated at one time.
• Includes a 3 position, steel-backed, reactive target range.
• Regularly used by local detachments of the RCMP.

For after shoot bull sessions and lies about how many grains of powder were used, a small comfortable club room with coffee is available.

Range schedule

The range is open daily from 9.00am until dusk with the following exceptions:-

• Tuesday 9.00am till noon open for casual shooting. Sort of a hot stove league where handgunners swap lies and reloading information. All shooters or anybody interested in this sport is welcome.
• Family .22 rifle shoot 1st Saturday of the month 9.00am until noon.
• Every 3rd Thursday afternoon reserved for RCMP.
• Every Wednesday and Saturday 9.00am till noon- Precision handgun.
• A pistol rimfire silhouette fun shoot is held on the 4th Sunday of the month from 9.00am till noon. Entry fee is $2.00 which includes coffee and donuts. This is a casual shoot with lots of fun and laughter. Contact John Whitby at 954-1599 for more info.

Reactive targets may only be used in the steel pit.

Range fees are as follows;

• Frequent shooter club member, $20.00 per annum.
• Casual shooter club member, $2.00 per day.
• Non members, $5.00 per day which includes liability insurance.
